As I reflect on the past year, I can confidently say it has been one of the most transformative periods of my academic career. I had to overcome a lot of obstacles not only academically but also personally. I discovered resilience and learned multiple lessons that have shaped me into a better student.

One of the primary obstacles I faced was mastering the art of time management. Despite believing in my ability to handle the demands of my studies, entering PA school exposed the gaps in my time-management skills. Balancing the rigors of multiple exams each week, enduring lengthy class hours, and preserving my sense of self are some of the hardest things I have ever done.

This brings me to my next and biggest challenge: staying persistent and resilient. Throughout the year, moments of self-doubt crept in, challenging my belief in whether I could successfully complete the program. PA school has taught me to get myself on my feet as quickly as possible and to remind myself of the reasons behind why I chose this profession in the first place. More importantly, it taught me to trust the process and give myself grace during challenging times.

Allow me to conclude with a quote that resonates deeply with me: "You are not going nowhere just because you’re not where you wanted to end up yet." This serves as a reminder that progress takes time, and it's crucial to grant ourselves the grace to evolve. As we embrace the upcoming challenges, let's remember that every step forward is a victory in itself.

Wishing you all the resilience, perseverance, and wisdom to trust your unique journey!
